Talk directly to God. Tell God you realize you do not have a personal relationship with Him. You now understand that your sin deserves judgment and that sin separates you from Him. Tell God you want and need His mercy. You believe Jesus died for your sins and He was raised from the dead. Ask Him to forgive you of all your sin. Ask Jesus to come into your life, and for Him to be your savior, and the Lord of your life.
Please tell us when you choose Jesus
We can be saved when we believe in our heart, Jesus is the Son of God who died and rose again then confess that Jesus is our Savior and the only way to heaven. Romans 10:9 & 10
For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, 9 not of works, lest anyone should boast. Ephesians 2:8 & 9
Can I be good enough to be saved. Can we be as good as God?
We cannot be good enough to work our way into God's favor or Heaven. If we could it would be a contest to see who had done enough good things. The Ten Commandments and the Old Testament Law were put there to show how impossible it is for us to be good enough.
James 2:10 For whoever shall keep the whole law, and yet stumble in one point, he is guilty of all.
Salvation is a free gift from God
John 1:12
But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name
John 3:16
For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.
John 14:6
Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.
ON the Day of Judgment, many will discover they lived a self-deceived life when Jesus says to them:
Matthew 7:21
JESUS SAID,21“Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven. 22“Many will say to Me in that day, ‘Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name, and done many wonders in Your name?’ 23“And then I will declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness!’
Since the beginning of time people have done good deeds like feeding the hungry and homeless, seeing to the needs of orphans, widows or the fatherless, and giving to the church. Jesus did works like these. We must go to Jesus first and be born of God then we can do good works in His name. When the good deeds are motivated out of a Love for God then we are able to give all of the credit to God.
The will of God has to start with you knowing Jesus and Jesus knowing you.
II Corinthians 5:15
and He died for all, that those who live should live no longer for themselves, but for Him who died for them and rose again.
